It's hard or believe that over twenty years have passed since I began writing THE NOTEBOOK. Drafting this novel was a circuitous process I wrote first what became the final chapter, and wrote last the first five pages of the novel. Perhaps this is fitting for a story that aims to tackle the full sweep of life, from our first love of our last goodbyes. In the rime since THE NOTEBOOK first published, I've written sixteen additional novels and my memoir, Three Weeks with My Brother. Eight of these novels have been made into films, including THE NOTEBOOK, which was released in theaters ten years ago. As I sat down to plot Noah and Allie's life story all those years ago, I could never have anticipated my own journey and I'll always be particularly fond of THE NOTEBOOK, where one of my greatest adventures began.
